Infusion

Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (V.A.R.T.M.) is an advanced technological process used for the production of complex and large-sized artifacts such as boats, automotive vehicles, and other industrial products.

In V.A.R.T.M., pre-mixed resin is drawn through a vacuum, ensuring even distribution along the reinforcement fabric. This process requires the use of reinforcement fabrics, drainage nets, infusion lines, and vacuum lines to allow for the correct arrangement and distribution of the involved elements.

Process

Once the reinforcement fabrics are positioned inside the mold, the mold is sealed using a vacuum bag. The vacuum created inside the bag allows for uniform pressure across the entire area of the artifact, thereby increasing the efficiency of the infusion. Moreover, the use of V.A.R.T.M. helps in reducing emissions into the atmosphere.
